Yesterday night was officially announced the "Reunion Concert" at Lima (December 8th) of argentinian rock trio "Soda Stereo", the same band who was influenced by "The Police" and who's leader lead voice and guitarist is Gustavo Cerati - the same who recorded with Andy Summers the spanish version of "Bring on th night" (at "Outlando's D'Americas-Tribute Album") .
"Soda Stereo" was disbanded 10 years ago, and surprisingly when "The Police" announced their reunion tour, "Soda Stereo" made the same announce too.
Negotiations for bringing them to Lima was hard, cause their show cost a lot, but finally they dicreased their amount - that's why gossips post

Well I hope in this way "The Police" come to Lima, cause definetely for myself "Soda Stereo" is not the same that have "The Police" in Peru... for me "The Police" are the kings of rock!!!!!
I also heard some rumours, Chilean "Police Concert" was cancelled.. Is it true??? and a new date for Brazil was confirmed, but I didnt't find nothing of those gossips on ThePolice.com
Regards from Lima -crossing my fingers for The Police in Peru!!!
Jose
