I'm an Andy fan!

I guess it's been enough years now... pulled Golden Wire out of mothballs and have been listening to it pretty much incessantly in the car for the past couple. Those albums were never my favorites back in the day, tho i tried hard to like them. But maturity will do neato things to one's listening tastes. These days i crave new familiar stuff, if that makes any sense, and i'm finding i appreciate the music's intricacies a great deal more than i was capable before.

Now to go rescue Charming Snakes and Mysterious Barricades! :D

Holy crap! The soundtrack is fetching a bare minimum of 55 bones on amazon  I have passed on it many times before, but now i feel slightly tempted to grab it. At that price, it'll have to wait a bit.. Still have a lot of old stuff i haven't heard in years to catch up on :)

I've always been a fan of Andy and not just because of The Police songs.
One of his more obscure projects was his amazing guitar work on the 2001 Space Odyssey sound track...definitely worth a listen :)

I LOVE Andy's solo stuff. The only ones I am not wild about are Earth + Sky (despite Vinny's presence, did not like the keyboards), XYZ, and Mysterious Barracades (seems so dated).
But these are more than offset by his litany of classics such as I Advanced Masked, Bewitched, Peggy's Blue Skylight, World Gone Stange, The Last Dance of Mr. X, Green Chimneys, and so on and so on.
There is no bigger gong.

Yeah!!! I forgot a great one "XYZ"... like the arrangements, amazing guitar work and the way Andy sings their own songs like "Love is the strangest way" and others 8)
