DirtyMartini's Dirty Secret

DirtyMartini's Dirty Secret

Well not really. But this is the kind of nonsense that DM has had to deal with behind the scenes.

Someone (me) volunteers to be a flag mule in the UK. GREAT! thinks DM, I was worried about the postal arrangements for that leg. Chaos ensues, because muggins here didn't just mail DM, but posted here, so managed to confuse everyone who already had it covered (sorry Kimmy and Dietmar). DM spends two days trying to sort out who is doing what, only for me to pull out due to work crap. (And frankly although I didn't know work crap would intervene, I should have bloody well checked thoroughly before hand)

So I mail DM to confess, and apologise. And instead of the message I would have sent ('you stooopid, stooopid, irritating person - don't volunteer until you've got EVERYTHING sorted out'), I get a lovely 'don't worry about it - thanks so much for trying' message.

So the dirty secret. DM, for all her role as flag conduct enforcer and logistics expert, and stern postings to check email NOW!, is incredibly tolerant of disorganised idiots who make her life harder than it should be.

And there should be some sort of medal for that. Because I'm sure I'm not the only one....I HOPE I'm not the only one.....

(You said no 'Mea Culpa' DM. Is this ok? :? )

actually, my bet would be she has a big poster of the world above her bed, published by UPS....with all the routes.

then again, she probably has it memorized.

either that or a poster of a vintage 1946 Vespa.
heh,heh.
