Did anyone notice that Stewart and Andy's vocals were non-existent in the video? What's up with that?
Andy looked absolutely high. In fact, there was more than one instance where what he was playing was not was coming through the PA. I suppose he had a backing track or another guitarist playing in the wings.

The Atlanta concert was 2 nights, Godley and Creme used footage and music from both to make the video so it's not suprising that what you see isn't what you hear.

I bought the DVD today. I saw it like 20somethin' years ago when I was a kid,but I didnt realize how GOOD it was. My memory was of it being pretty sub-par. The naivete of youth I suppose. Anyway,I also realized(and i'm not just saying this 'cause this is Stewarts forum) that Stewart Copeland IS, WAS, and ALWAYS will be THE POLICE. He drove those songs like no one else could've. He MADE Stings songs. His playing was PHENOMENAL. I also enjoyed seeing how much fun the guys were having. I particularly liked the potted plants onstage. I've always felt plants(live ones) make a good stage prop. Maybe my band'll add a few.
I will say that all the audience shots of those people dancing(?!?!?!) with the special F/X around them was VERY lame.

Ahhh the 80's.
I would LOVE to see what some of those concert goers looked like now! Some of those people are so funny looking.
And that Cigar dude always bugged me/creeped me out!

You would think the cameramen would've focused on the women in the crowd. Who wants to see all the close ups of these goofy lookin' dudes?
How about the Asian guy dancing and his buddy(?) pushes him and apparently knocks him down? I bet when he got up he kicked his ass.

Spec A! - Are you sure that was a cigar? I always thought it was a joint!
Chris 71 - I thought the chick dancing on "Message" was pretty hot.
My 2 fave moments:
1) Stewart going BLOP-BLOP-BLOP-BLOP-BLOP-BLOP-BLOP-BRRROP! before "Message" The Rotosound still spinning, what a great shot!
2) The end where Stewart throws his sticks up and has to cover his head as they land on him!

Yeah, shes the girl who the put that whit light special effect on huh? She was good.
Stewart was dropping sticks all over the place(all the great ones do). I like how they had the camera on him as he was re-taping his hand.

And he was cool as a cucumber. The first time I watched that, I thought, "Uh-oh, he ain't gonna make it" and at the very last nanosecond, in he comes with that famous intro.
Now he drops his sticks on purpose because he's always destroying 'em!

Have to agree with you JL. No vocals came through except for Mr Sting and the three birds.
Totally agree with you on the fact that Andy looks like he was totally of his nut on coke. Is that true or was what just a middle aged man performing in the 80s! Just can't tell. Which ever way you look at it I'm sure he laughs about it. No offence Andy, love ya mate.
What do you reckon about the geezer with the cigar in his mouth with the police t-shirt with red sleeve. He looks sort of 'slavy'/rusky + completely bo11oxed. Utter legend. Gotta love the eighties mate.
