Hartford Review - The Hardest Working Men in Show Business

Well, the Hartford show was very good. Sting was in fine voice, if not, the best I've heard him in a long time...Andy was shredding that guitar...and Stewart, well "welcome to the Stewart Copeland show". This is his show...he is the center of the beast and he owns those drums. He was hitting that snare so hard it hurt my ears. The setlist remains unchanged, which is (to me) an insult to the fans. They can't add or change ONE SONG? To stick with the same setlist is a little unfair to the fans, especially at the high ticket prices. And my impression of the band is that they were all in their own places...the hartford courant summed it up best: seemed more like three musicians playing individual parts than one band playing its songs. Lots of energy, combined with 3 skilled musicians...you won't be disappointed, go see them!

The Police never were much for mixing up their set lists to my knowledge. I think they don't want fans from one city to feel like they missed out on something they did for another city. Unless that song did not work. Then they have no problem nixing it.
