Damn it, what have you people done to me?

DM left this afternoon for yet another installment of "The Stewart Copeland Show," for which seats are definitely not free.

Stewart's "Can't Stand Losing You" Derangement is now my default can't-get-it-out-of-my-head background mind-noise, for its relentlessly compelling and elegant drum virtuosity. (Unless I'm giggling at work, listening to the essential comedy of Patton Oswalt. Seriously.)

I'm now deeply involved, whether I like it or not, in every daily whiff of potential asshattery, douchebaggery, and moronicity which occurs during the Enormous Flag Project's attempts to stick to its intended goals.

I haven't been this fan-involved in a piece of popular entertainment since 1975, and that was within a fan community not especially known for its familiarity with adult recreational pastimes.

It's kind of fun, actually.

I'm with ya, Moeskido. Totally overwhelmed and surprised.

I've never been this fannish (even after being such a long-time lurker), and it is fun! I feel strangely uninhibited ... my husband is a willing enabler, even contributing an Oysterhead joke at my expense over dinner this evening.

But you're having fun, right :D ?

Mostly.

Don't tell anyone, okay?

Mum's the word. But her tireless efforts, and your patience, are appreciated all-around.

Meh. I've done nothing but paint cotton (poorly) and fart around with Photoshop. DM is the patient one. I just drink.

I'm looking forward to tonight's report. I wonder if I'll get a text message with some keywords that I can pass along.

Then again, I seem to remember saying that I hate texting on mobile phones, so we may need to rely upon another recipient to relay what went on today.

Speaking of Photoshop, I love your socks. I think I prefer my steed unadorned (which is good, b/c I suck at Photoshop), but I do appreciate the similarity between our avatars ... it's a spectacular logo.
