As chance would have it, I am going to be in the Baltimore area (at an in-law family reunion) the weekend of the Virgin Festival, and it's looking like we're going to take a chance and go to this after our family obligations are finished on Saturday.
Do any of you good folks, who always seem to be in the know about everything, have any details about this gig? I'm really looking for a schedule/lineup, so we can time our day appropriately, but so far, have found nothing.

I was wondering that myself. I've got something to do earlier that day and personally don't relish having to hang around all day if I only want to hear a few bands anyway. The boys won't go on until late, although they may not be last. The RHCP played after The Who last year and I considered Roger & Co the headliners. Of course, we figured they had to get back to the nursing home before curfew. Our boys aren't THAT, uh, mature! I got last year's line up from a local radio station. I'll check with them and see if they've got any info and report back.

I too live in Baltimore and what I do know about VirginFest is the following:
Saturday-(8-4-07) LINEUP- The Police
-Fiction Plane
etc.
Sunday-(8-5-07) LINEUP-Cheap Trick
-Wu Tang Clan
etc.
If you go to
www.VirginFest.com (I think it is), they'll have MORE and
ACCURATE INFO. Sorry I don't know ALL the details but I know our
boys are scheduled to be there the first day and so is 'Fiction Plane'
and LORDY...I hope I make it there!

Finally! The lineup/schedule has been released:

Not sure I'm gonna make it for Amy Winehouse and Paolo Nutini, thanks to the family reunion, but I think the Beasties and of course, The Police are well within my scheduling ability.

So you can find the scedule at the site posted and it says ticket prices
for VIP are $250 a piece(minimum order allowed is 2) and maximum
order is 8! WOW..but worth it if one can afford! I'm giving mine up for a Broadway musical though...I'll wait for a CD! If you ARE going-more

I'm not sure just where the "VIP" area is going to be. Last year there was no special seating that I could see. We were all GA. So, I don't know what your $250 is going to get you.

Just ordered our GA tickets, plus a parking pass.
Am more than a little excited -- cannot believe I'm going to see the guys again! This will totally make that whole family reunion thing with the crazy in-laws worthwhile.
