apparently Sting went to a restaurant in Miami to celebrate a sold out concert and brought his own cook with him

the chef of the restaurant was not amused

Yeah, Sting sometimes is very eccentric and other people didn't understand his acts, (Like the time he admit preferences on tantric sex) but that's the way he always has been..

:D

Given the troubles with food poisoning in restuarants, he might not be eccentric, just safety conscious

Nah that problem was solved weeks ago - one of the Reuter Journalists works for him as a taster now ...

Nah, just random food poisoning. I know soooo many people (self included repeatedly) that have gotten it. It massively SUCKS, so I can see why he'd want to bring his own chef.

Phaty, maybe I need to get my own Reuters guy to taste test

First I thought, oh there goes Sting again...but he's right. Too many people are waiting to see him and counting on him to be in perfect health and shape. It's amazing he can handle the pressure.

Chef- What chef?

Poor Chef- not. Sure he could put his ego aside for one meal. After all, he's an adult-right? This is hilarious. I can imagine this on Monty Python.

When I first read this article on the net I thought why? but this makes perfect sense. The restaurant was notified that this was going to happen. Its just those damn reporters again

I do understand being hesitant about restaurant food but not for the food poisoning (although that's always cause for caution) but for its often alarming mystery nutritional information...I think Sting's diet is macrobiotic (grain based, largely, unprocessed, etc.) and tere's no question he watches what he eats but any chef, particularly at the restaurants I'd imagine the Police would celebrate at, could be able to handle any celebrity special requests (which, of course, are quite common) etc. and I think that there are more diplomatic and perhaps less-affronting ways of taking care of his concerns than pretty much assuming the resident chef would not be able to reliably meet his requests...
