that Stewart's Noah's Ark score is great jogging music. I've recently started jogging a little bit when I go out for my evening stroll to start getting in shape as my 20th high school reunion which is next year and I don't want to wait until the last minute to start getting into shape. I used to just walk for about 45 minutes about 5 nights a week. However, now that it is hotter and more humid than Hades most evenings, I've been waiting until the sun goes down to go out when it's a little cooler. However, the 45 minute walks are less safe then so started doing a combination of jogging and walking (more walking than jogging, truth be told) and I've found that Stewart's score to the Noah's Ark cartoon that came out in 1989 is the perfect music for this because it has a brilliant combination of faced paced and slower paced music. And it's the perfect length of time (about 25 minutes or so) for these strolls. I've been feeling more energetic and notice my love handles melting away since I started incorporating sprints into these strolls.

I know bits of Noah's Ark were performed by various orchestras and I'm hoping perhaps these were recorded and will see the light of day someday.

Conroy - You sound very convincing. I smell an infomercial
coming!

Conroy and Copeland bring you "Jogging to the Bible"
Volume I Noah's Ark

I have that cassette. I should test your theory.

It is true. I listen to KK and The Rhythmatist on my Shuffle when I walk on my machine in the garden!
Nothing better than losing count of the minutes...

Yeah, Klark Kent is a favorite for my walks as well.
That music sort of makes me feel careless and free...

I know this is slightly heretical but my favourite bands to run to are Stray Cats, Biffy Clyro and Queens of The Stone Age. But a bit of Regatta de Blanc works wonders and makes me smile while I'm in agonizing pain!

Con, interval training (walking then running then walking) is apparently the most effective way of getting fit. I do it because it's all I can manage but what the hell!

I did no exercise at all for about 10 years and I have a sedentary job and I smoke and I used to eat TERRIBLY, so I figured that even though I'm pretty skinny I was probably going to drop dead of a heart attack at 40. I actually like running in summer and it makes me feel so fucking virtuous! I only get around to it about once a week at best but that's partly because I hate to run in the rain and it's just endless at the moment. Excuses excuses!

Running to Noah's Ark soundtrack?

Maybe swimming would be more apt?

At least you're going about it smarter than the guy I saw yesterday pelting down the bikebath in 95* heat and I'd say the same for humidity....at 3 in the afternoon. Guy looked in his 20s ~ and darned near ready to pass out from the heat exhaustion. No hat on his head of course.

A cold wet bandana tied round your neck (hit those jugulars) helps bigtime for the excess heat. I think there's something similar out now that has crystals in the bandana to retain the cold even longer. Anything to help you stay cool.

I used to pound out hours of aerobics to the Police tapes I had, Synchronicity was great. Alas, for all the mindless hours I put into it, other than the great listening, it didn't do a damned thing for my figure.

I liked the rowing/swimming to the Ark music

I didn't know there was a cartoon for Noah. Very interesting! That score is right up there with Equalizer in excellence!

I can never stick with walking/running and always get disenchanted with it due to various dangers that tend to present themselves. For me it's invented dance routines all within the relative safety of home!

I ran cross country in high school and one of my favorite songs to run to was Love Lessons by the "Colts" - Stewart with Derek Holt.
