OT: NiNa is Going to see The Police!

It is so rare that one gets to be the bearer of really good news, and so I am thrilled to share this with you:

Our very own NiNa, of WBWC 88.3FM, is being "gifted" with a pair of floor seats for Monday's show...yes, that's right, on Stewart's birthday!

Tickets for the show are being given to her by a wonderful friend of mine who quite unexpectedly found herself with an extra pair. I told her about NiNa, the awesome job she did yesterday and how much fun she provided to everyone here and at TP.com...and she agreed NiNa should definitely get to experience The Police live!

I just got off the phone with NiNa...she is over the moon and sends her love to everyone here!

As for my friend, Maggie...some of you know her as Outlandos Girl from TP.com and other Police sites...I just gotta say she is one good soul. She did a beautiful thing today and made a sweet young woman very happy!

That is awesome news Nancy. It's great to see floor seats going to the truly deserving instead of just be auctioned to the highest bidder.

Woooohoooo! NiNa

Thanks for the news, nancy! And Maggie is awesome and knows all about Karma first hand. Everyone should go over to tpt.com and read about her Dallas experience. Probably the best example of karma I've ever heard of. I only wish the t-shirt I ordered for NiNa could get there in time but I know she'll wear it with pride perhaps at a future show!

I hope NiNa is able to come on here after the show and write up a review!!! My internet computer at work crapped out and I wasn't able to listen to her show today :(

I know it's not cool for a dude to admit this, but this got me all teary-eyed.

Very nice.

That's great!! Is Maggie the one who missed the show and ended up driving a bunch of people in a van from one airport to another?

Yes, that was what happened to Maggie. One of the people in van was a mother with a baby and she ran out of formula so they had to stop and get some on the way. There was like 9 or 10 people in the van altogether I believe . their flight was diverted to Abeliene which is 3 hours from Dallas on a good day. Michelle told me this part of the story while we were standing outside near Fiction Plane's table as they were selling and signing their CDs before the Police went on. Anyway, the good karma that came of her good deed came around the next day as she had won the Best Buy contest to attend the soundcheck for Dallas show 2 and got selected by Stewart I think to sing with Sting. I hope if someone ever writes a book about this tour that this story gets mentioned.

Hey, Tony, you should have heard NiNa's reaction when I told her I'd scored some tickets for her! We were both Driven to Tears!!

(And I think you're very cool to admit getting teary-eyed!)

Aww I'm so chuffed about this! That woman absolutely MADE OUR DAY and this is a just reward. I'm guessing she's an impoverished college student so it's only right that a kindly copelander sponsors her for the night :D

It really is a great story, isn't it Conroy? A living example of "what goes around comes around!"
