First Oysterhead show in Links section

Postby DirtyMartini on 12 Jul 2007 01:59

Hey, kinetic kats.

I posted a link to a download for the Oysterhead gig of May 4, 2000, at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans in the Links section.

What I forgot to mention (and now can't edit) is that this is the first Oysterhead performance together.

Enjoy!
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

Tee hee. You're welcome.

BTW, I didn't name the tracks. Many songs would end up on the album, but I have no idea if the given track names are the "original" song titles -- or if the person naming them was just making them up as they went along.

(If we have any Oysterhead historians out there who know, please feel free to jump in and set the record straight.)

Hey DM,

Have you noticed that people on Modern Drummer didn't even know about Oysterhead?

"Stewart has played with LES CLAYPOOL? REALLY? I have looked in all the archives and found nothing..."

Thanks. I've had a copy of this show for several years (even before the Grand Pecking Order was released I seem to recall) from Napster but the quality was HORRID. Nice to finally be able to hear the performance.
