Who did you think was great today?

It was a good day for music lovers. I'm curious to hear what people liked.... And if you didn't catch the Antarctica band's name, it's "Nunatak."

Nunatuk was actually a lot better than many of the professionals. The Foo Fighters were great. Corrine Bailey Ray did a pretty good Marvin Gaye cover. I would have liked to have seen more of the African show.

I actually thought Madonna was pretty good too...Also, DMB. Not a huge fan of either, but both impressed me.

Nunatak was excellent- that guy on fiddle was more animated than Jethro Tull!

of course the Police- yeah even with Kanye- who said Sting, your the only Police good in the hood!-Classic!

I think Wembley was the best- Foo Fighters absolutely killed, so did the Chili Peppers, and even Duran Duran, oh yeah and Metallica

I loved John Mayers set- he's a thoughtful soulful, excellent guitarist

I loved Sydney all of it- Missy Higgins, Paul Kelly, Jonathon Butler, Jack Johnson, especially Crowded House

Linkin Park rocked Tokyo- and so did a Japanese band called Rize

Chris Cornell and Cat Stevens, uh Yusuf Islam, and Shakira rocked in Hamburg

I loved UB40 and Joss Stone and Babba Maal in South Africa

and Lenny Kravitz and Macy Gray were the bombin in Rio!

I loved Live Earth!:)

I really thought Duran just came off fantastic. I just don't know why but seeing them live so many times I just thought Metallica was off. I couldn't pin point what bothered me but, just my opinion.

Of course The Police, who turned in a strong, energetic set (ok, I'm still reeling from the Kanye debacle... a bit jarring if nothing else).

Madonna was interesting in her new turn as "Rock Star" w/the Les Paul and the feedback at the end... interesting.

In S. Africa, Joss Stone proved once again she's nothin' to mess with... very solid.

In Tokyo, Ai Otsuka was VERY impressive... in Kyoto, Bonnie Pink was great.

Duran Duran was quite good... a small flub in Girls On Film, but also an amazing performance of Notorious...

Smashing Pumpkins also turned in a killer set.

Hehe, I thought Kayne was good at his own gig before he joined the Police for Message in a Bottle if you know what I mean.
