Police + Random Talentless Rap Dude With Absolutely Nothing to Offer = Dear God, please no.

God, that was horrible.

As my Uncle Huey used to say, "It's Hip to be Sqaure"

I guess we have to have rap to be hip in the eyes of the youngsters?

Well, you know I didn't think KW's set was so bad. I guess it was what everyone else on stage was doing (violins, harps, singer) that made the difference. And YO! what's with the crotch grabbing, YO? Are they just trying to ascertain everything is still there?
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

Wow. Not what I expected. Didn't need it. Not an enhancement! But you know what? Just a blip on the screen. Sure points up something: It's one thing to produce some hits and make some good records, but it's quite another to be a musician for the ages, as each of the fellas are. And when they get together and make their sound, they get me every time! John Mayer was working for me, but everyone else PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE POLICE ZONE!!! They could have done the finale themselves! But what a great day. I became fans of some new people, got surprised by others, and dug all the eco-info. Live Earth was great,....I loved it. 8) 8)

I was hoping they'd get Roger Waters and Richie Sambora in there for a big laser show and talk-box finale on Every Breath You Take.

I liked it when the rap guy went "Yeah-yeah-yeah" and when he wore sunglasses. He has a lot of talent. It really added something to the song.

Then I shot my TV.

I have to agree. I was not happy with the crapper, uh, rapper coming in and screwing up the song. Personally I was hoping Stewart would tag him in the head with a stick and knock him unconscious.

Get over it folks - it is just music ...

I have to admit I started to laugh right in the middle of it - when it got too pittyful ... ! To me Sting looked like he was about to call security!
The Best of Show her in Germany did not end on that song but on Roxanne.

Then again, by today about 12 million kids under the age of 17 will know who The Police is ...!

They really should have performed Stonehenge with Spinal Tap ...

perhaps that's why they asked KW on stage? That everyone could abuse him afterwards and proof that most hip&hop acts are no good? ;-) LOL Atleast people don't buy too too many non-bio-degradable CDs with KW on it now after seeing, watching THAT pitiful performance ;-)))))).....

The crotch grabbing was Michael Jackson's idea, alas. I hope at least Michael jackson doesn't have any comeback - those Michael Jackson clones everywhere are bad enough! with ruining a set with 3 real good musicians in it.

On a lighter side, The Police songs have endured even worse - note P. Diddy and Roxanne'97 (gah, blergh, getting sick).....the only cool thing in that video was Sting playing a pimp;-)

That's ok, Sting made points by mispronouncing Kanye's name. :)

Anyway, isn't anyone gonna mention the fact that Stewart TOTALLY KICKED BUTT!!! OMG - "Driven" and "Can't Stand" - Holy Crap! :D

He's been doing this thing where he half-gets up out of his seat to give the snare an extra hard crash. It is so awesome to watch. You just never see a lame performance out of that man, never.

I noticed a few drumstick twirls, also. ;)

I got a kick out of Kanye, but I've already posted about it and am in the minority, so shutting piehole now ;)
