This was my first night in LA and we went to see Fiction Plane at the Viper Room. Little did I know who I would see in the crowd. I was a buzzin'!!

Hey, great pix! I'm lovin' your new avatar as well.

FP is sounding better every night. Just wish they'd play "Drink" more often. ;)

Nice, Bella.

Sting-watchers do note: if FP are playing locally, the odds are very good that Sting and Trudie will be in attendance.

(He hailed over the crowd like the Pope in Vancouver.)

Cool shots Bella. Really good. I always like your captions, too. :)

I've played the Viper Room. It's a pretty cool venue. Was this your first time there?

Great shots.

Sting walking into the club must be a set killing moment for Fiction Plane.

Jeff, this was my second time in LA and first time at the Viper Room. Very cool that you've played there before. What band?? It's sooo much smaller than I thought it would be. And it was very funny because right when we walked in (after the Gary-Oldman-wannabe-look-alike played the part of Special Agent Doorman) I saw Michael St. Germain, who actually used to date a good friend of mine. Little did I know that he was the first opening act for FP!! Missed his set!

Tonydrums, I don't think anyone knew Sting was there (or at least they played it cool) until FP was done. Well, at least I didn't know he was there until my friend, JR, pointed it out after the show. We did see Trudie stealthily jump into the booth next to the stage during their set, so I figured she was the only one we'd see. Silly me!

:D

Proud dad and plastik stepmom! I heard that FP is a very good band, and Joe seems a carbon copy of GS's former self.
Thanks bella!!! 8)

My own musical past as a performer is so ridiculously insignificant, I try to avoid talking about it... that earlier mention was a slip. ;)

But I've also played the Whisky, the Roxy, the Troubador, and most of the other notorious clubs in LA, almost all between 1988 and 1992. These days. I mostly play in bars/clubs away from the Hollywood area, preferring to keep it simple and staying within 10 miles of my own home in the South Bay area of LA.

In any case (back to topic), glad you had a great time, and that you had the unexpected surprise of seeing Joe's dad in the audience. :D
