An I managed to get to Andy. Asked him two critical questions: Where's the Tele and do we get a new album?

Sounds like the Tele will sneak its way back into the tour, but he's in love with the red strat. As for the new album, he said "right now it is an open door....."

There are some great pictures from the event up on Wire Image and Getty today...I recognized at least one other sc.net'er in the pics who also got in!

thanks for your tasty news... what exactly did andy say about the tele, to indicate it may come back....?

He said he was using it earlier in the tour (on Murder By Numbers) but he's so in love with the new Strat that he can't put it down. He said he needed to work it back into the show. It sounded like it would reappear soon (maybe tonight at Dodger Stadium???).

I got in by invitation of the Santa Monica Mirror. I'm writing an article about it and will post the link. I was able to record the conversation on a little recorder. If anyone knows how to digitize from a mini tape deck I'm happy to post the conversation for everyone to hear. It came out pretty well, which is WAY F'ING COOL because I couldn't think straight during those magic 3.5 minutes....

FOYC, I'm more than happy to do this for you. I assume the mini-cassette has an audio output jack, probably an 1/8" mini-plug. I also have a mini-cassette transcription machine too, and I can run it straight into Pro Tools and then pop out an MP3 of the interview.

i'm a little behind sometimes and I just read this post and i was like "wh...wh...what the f$#%?!!!!" you just went to the gallery and the boys were there???!!! i feel better reading in a later post that you were invited to the event for press reasons, but damn I would have LOVED to know that this was happening last night!!! well that is super cool for you...I need to go check the exhibit out. would love to hear more about it!!

Man I hope this exhibition comes to London. I'd LOVE to see those prints in the flesh. Also it would be another great excuse to meet up with some more sc.netters!
