If you can't read another language you could try google translator or something so.

However, in a nutshell:

it seems that in 1986, in the temporary reunion for the Conspiracy of Hope Tour, during a secret jam (do you remember the "remake" of Don't stand so close to me?) Sting and Stewart were quarreling about using two instruments: a Synclavier or a Fairlight.

Welcome abroad Kirk. I don't think the argument over an instrument was the only reason why they've stayed apart for so long. It's kind of petty.

I don't read another language either, but I use babel fish on alta vista to translate most things. It's not the best translation, but it's usually close enough to get the gist of things.

I think the article try to mean that if Stewart didn´t fall from his horse at 1986, The Police reunion it would have been before...

Well, everybody can make plans, but such is life, full of suprises like this new Police's reunion after all this time...
