During the course of their tour, the Police will be releasing an acoustic album of their material. But will they be writing and recording new songs?

"Whether we do or not," observes Stewart, "I simply want to make sure that at the end of the year we part as friends. Sting and Andy are two of the most important people to me, whom I've abused and with whom I've had disagreements. They are every bit like siblings. This is going to be a great year, and I want the rest of our lives to be really good with each other. A year will be great. Why want more?"

"I think the idea is to go out on this tour and be as vital and forceful as anyone out there - as we always were," continues Andy. "I think that lines up with that would be maybe making another record if the creative juices are still there."

Obviously this will probably be a recording of the Unplugged show. Not sure if anyone has noticed the confirmation, unless I missed it.

OK, so this must be old news.

I'm guessing it will be acoustic versions of the old classics.

I would not be suprised at all if 'Bring on the Night' was one of the acoustic tracks.. I am guessing they are holding back the new killer arrangement Andy mentioned of this tune to spice it up!

Other than that I hope it's a different set list to the one Sting used for MTV unplugged - no walking on the moon, message etc , simply because I want to hear something new and maybe a little challenging.
