I think the Klark Kent material is the best proof of what Stewart contributed to the Police. The lyrics/vocals may be (intentionally) corny, but the music KICKS ASS.

Well put!
This is great music.
Really great...

Yeah, especially when you consider Stewart played every instrument, every note himself.

Why can't we have a box set? Or AT LEAST all of it on itunes?

Ahem box set is way better.

SJR, your avatar is making me feel like strategic glaucoma has set in. But thanks for the files!

KLARK needs to pop into a Fiction Plane set or something. Ooh! Or at Dodgers! The Foos would love it.

Sounds to me like The Suits have Stewart on total lockdown at the moment. Which is too bad. Otherwise you kinda get the feeling he'd be going to town on all this.

I bought the original K.K. album back in the late 70s, and proceeded to play it to death on my father's turntable. I ended up buying another copy on vinyl, as well as a 7" single, in the early 80s because I had worn the other so badly!

When Kollected Works came out, I of course bought a copy, but had no idea it would become such a hot item. Not as hot as the VERY limited run of the original K.K. album on CD (it pops up on eBay very occasionally), which I've been dying to buy.

Stewart should really just put out a two or three CD set of his material, I'm sure there's much, much more in his vaults besides what he's released--stuff that we'd all love and appreciate (and buy). Include a groovy booklet with pictures and essays & other writings, and I'm sure it would be a hit.

(on a side note, if anyone has a real, non-mp3 rip of the original K.K. CD, I wouldn't mind seeing it show up on Demonoid... )

Cheers
