A big accident for Heineken Jamming Festival in Italy

Postby giovanni on 15 Jun 2007 22:35

Hi brothers and sisters...today a big accident happened at the biggest Festival in Italy, called Heineken Jamming Festival! Due to a sort of tornado, some light towers fell down on the public, 8 towers out of 10!!! People got injured, many brought to hospital, no dead by now are reported. The whole BIG STAGE moved of about 2 meters!!!

I wasn't there but I was supposed to be there tomorrow for AEROSMITH, but as you can imagine the show have been cancelled!
No band was playing on that moment.

Absolutely!
Well, my first intention was to get at my computer as soon as back home...anyway, I just saw the news and they said there are about 30 people injured with broken bones here and there...
Too bad as it was the 10th anniversary of that Festival.. I'm sad about this...I was so happy to see Aerosmith again, it would almost heal the pain of not being in USA to see The Police ...
I guess some footage is on youtube

Geeze, that's scary. So you missed Aerosmith? That sucks!!! Hopefully you can see them at some point. They are touring Europe all summer. I only know this because I was hoping they would play here this summer, but no luck.

It's really a sad thing.... the Jamming Festival is a strong reality in our country. Worst thing is that now there will be a number of stupid stories about the security of concerts.... what can resist to a tornado? Many trees fell down.... it was a BIG tornado....
I'm really sad for all the people injured but also for organizers that will suffer a terrible money loss (hope there were a good insurance): we want the Jamming Festival back!
