Yep. Great score BB; I still have the vinyl version and absolutely love it. Even with all the snap crackle pop from the turntable it still sounds awesome.

I am proud to have the vinyl album from Rhythmatist, but I also got a CD, and my old movie but in beta system.

This material is all in my soul since many miles away!

It would be very interesting to see a DVD of the movie with a lot of the outakes...that would be cool.

I would love to see all the extra footage.

drumming in a cage....Yea!

I need to go get this ASAP! I had the original CD issue, but lost it along with a ton of other great material when I had to sell off my collection to pay Mr. Tax Man. What a bastard he is!!

Oh, thank you for your comment about my wrote line, Dive.

You can find a more extensive proof of my feelings about his movie in the next link:

I know from your post about Copeland's works, that you really like to write about it, so I think is a good idea that maybe you can add another commentary about Rhythmatist film there...

Anyone elves???

...oh yeah... sure brings back good memories!! One of my earliest introductions to African music. Expertly accompanied by the drumming of Mr. Stewart Copeland.

amazon.com has now twice informed me that their delivery of my Rhythmatist reissue is delayed by some weeks :x
maybe it's due to high demand, that would be the only consolation :D

I just picked up my copy yesterday (cheers to f.y.e. for actually having it in stock - the Center City Borders didn't  )

I actually debated whether I was going to spend the money on the remastered disc since I still have the original cd release but wow, so glad I did! The sound quality is just so much richer and deeper, especially in the bass range. Nice work on the remastering (though it still would've been nice to have a bonus track or two...)

Anyway, definitely check it out, even if you still have your original disc or cassette copy. I also got Andy's I Advance Masked which I have yet to listen to. I had that on vinyl back in the day but haven't been able to listen to it in years. Got the new Fiction Plane cd too so I can get familiar with the tracks before seeing them in Dallas...
