Here is Sting's rider from a fairly recent tour. it gives us a glimspse of what life is like backstage. A rider is a legal contract specifying equipment, dressing room and catering requirements for entertainers.

I was hoping the Smoking Gun would obtain the Police's Rider, but maybe after the tour.
Sting seems to have pretty modest requirements, although 6 bath towels seems a bit excessive. i seem to remember something about him taking 45 minute showers before the concert....

heh, the one they had for Iggy and the Stooges is probably the funniest thing I've read, especially if you think about it being narrated by him <grin>
And geebus that doesn't look any more 'extravagent' than my packing list for Bonnaroo...or what I buy for a party I host! <grin>

Interesting to see the names of Billy Francis and Tam Fairgrieve at the end of that rider. Are they involved with the current tour at all?

If I'm not mistaken, I thought someone in Vancouver mentioned that Billy Francis was the tour manger for the latest tour.
