The show started about 8:40pm and ended just before 10:40pm
Sting did the obligatory.. "Hello Seattle!"
After that, there was not much banter between the lads on stage or with crowd until the end.
Sting looked happy and smilling. Andy looked very serious in the begining, but looked more relaxed as the show went on. Stewart looked down right intense, but I did see him smiling and having fun as the show went on.
They all were in great form. Andy is still able to do his little scissor kick while rocking out. He had a guitar strap with the South Park characters on it and the words: "oh my God, they killed Kenny"
During "So Lonely", Sting said "Welcome to the Andy Summers Show" the first time through..which got great applause. The second time through, he said..."Welcome to the Stewart Copeland Show" and the KeyArena erupted with applause.
During "Every Breath You Take", some girl through a red rose on the stage. Sting picked it up and gave it to Andy. Andy then took it over to Stewart and gave it to him. Stewart "smelled the rose" then tossed back at Andy.
When they came back out for the final encore...Stewart came to the front of the stage by Andy... he started playing the "air guitar", then he yelled off to the guitar tech on the side of the stage ..."Bring me a guitar".... then he looked over at Andy and said "just kidding".
The show rocked. I did not particularly care for the version of "Spirits" or "Don't Stand So Close To Me", but I did really like some other versions they did of songs that are not really my favorites.
I could probably go on but I will end by saying it was just a great experience to see them together, live for the first time since 1983.
I am looking forward to the two Dallas shows (June 26th & June 27th).
One side note, I am not sure if they are changing the set lists or not. The Seattle paper noted that they played Murder by Numbers in the first show. They did not play it in the 2nd show. I don't know if we got a differnt song the 2nd night that the 1st night did not hear.
One last thing.. Stewart threw his drum sticks and Andy step in front of them at the wrong time and got hit in the back with Stewarts sticks. He looked at Stewart like.. "what the hell?"..then kicked the sticks away from his feet so he would not trip on them.
