STEWART COPELAND

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Stewart, Andy and Sting for getting back together. As fans we know making us happy played a big part in the decision to hit the road again after all of these years. As a fan that never saw the band live, this is a wonderfully surreal time for me.

Thank you for putting in the hard work and extreme effort to take the show on the road and make fans like myself hysterically happy. The "fan" gripings about tempos and key changes mean nothing to me. I love what the band is doing and I appreciate your dedication to entertaining the masses.

They get back together and people feel like they own them or something. How many people who make these comments would like to be told how, when ,where, how much, in their life etc.

Now this is more like it! Thanks for hitting this one on the head Johnny O. The Police have provided many of us with vivid recollections of their performances that will stay with us through the ages and will have left their mark for future generations to appreciate.
They're gonna leave skid marks on the bowl wherever they go

Well, not to complicate the issue with technicalities, but when people buy a ticket, they are in fact owed something in return...

Sure...you are owed exactly what's printed on the ticket "The Police: Live"...one live performance with all three first-class musicians jamming together...and unless anything is cancelled, that you'll get, believe me <grin>

It's a lot, touring for a year, and something they didn't have to do to celebrate the 30 year anniversary (they could've just ok'd another compilation etc. from their separate corners of the universe)...the fact that they didn't and did this instead, with time away from their families and lives as they knew it, definitely I agree: THANKS!! Another way to show thanks in a palpable way is to cheer your head off at the shows, if you se feel inspired <I could not stop myself>

1. Nothing in the first sentence references the purchase of a ticket.

2. Own and being owed something are two different things. My employer owes me money, but does not own me.

I agree with Johnny O. People are acting like they own the Police by giving their opinions on songs, transitions, etc. It's a free country, and those opinions can be expressed. But there might be a reason why they are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have sold out concerts across the globe some 20 years after recording an original song.

The concerts I have seen: Queen, Elton John, Falco, Sting, U2, Coldplay, Keane and which I would have never thought of The Police on Monday, May 28th.

The most inspiring one: definitely The Police

The only thing they owe us is a great performance. Now do you want it to be THEIR vision for the music, or YOUR vision? IMO, anything other than their vision would not be the Police....plain and simple.

Listen folks, this California boy has been waitin' sooo long and now that Seattle also seemed to be a sucess, I am just about drivin' my wife, her family and everyone CRAZY about seeing the Police at Dodger Stadium(oh yeah and the FOO Fighters 2!)

But to say it simply, I think the critiques and technical suggestions are Heart-felt as well, but in the end it don't matter cuz cmon people- these guys really are incredible musicians and its just magic to see them together!

Case in point, last night at the end of a long work week- I had the Ghost in the Machine turned to 11 as I burned up the road!
Now I know this was supposedly one of the times they fought most, but I couldn't get over how friggin'
AwWESOME it sounded and they all did-

Every Little Thing and Invisible Sun were hilights for them and particularly the little barely audible Sting big enough umbrella

Demolition Man was an incredible Stewart show through the everchanging tempos, and then the snare drum fadeout at the end with a little splash of cymbals- just incredibly wonderful,

and then just seconds later on my disc, Andy out of nowhere congealing seeming chaos into a glorious run of guitar blasts on the opening bars of
Too Much Information

and I'll I could do was smile and say,
It's been a long, long long time comin'

but I couldn't be happier to see and hear these three again
