Any thoughts on Youtube good or bad?
I am thinking watching the footage is spoiling the element of suprise, like seeing you Christmas presents the week before?
Remember when you had to wait until they got to your town to see what the band was like?

...depends on the sound and picture quality... As someone who was actually physically at both the 5/27 and 5/28 Vancouver shows, I can quite honestly say that the YouTubes do very, very little justice to the show itself. Believe me, the only way to get the REAL assessment of what the Police are sounding like these days is by actually being there.

I've only watched a little bit of the live footage--mostly as an aid to figure out where I want to try to get tickets and what kind of vantage point I'll likely get where
I don't have a lot of patience for bad video/sound quality so I just wanted a taste. I get more enjoyment out of listening to the audio boots because I like hearing how the shows may/will evolve and chance--and so I'm not, say, all up in arms if an arrangement sounds different than I expect. To me it's like listening to an album before hearing new material in concert - I get a lot more out of the concert experience if I'm somewhat familiar with the songs already, and with so much new music and changes I want a chance to get used to it first and be able to concentrate on the details while I'm at a show.

How can anyone not be a fan of shaky, pixellated-to-death, distorted, muffled sound, 1 megapixel camera phone quality? I've gotten so used to Youtube non-quality, that when I finally go to see the show, I'm going to stuff my ears with fiberglass, put a heavy coating of vasoline on my glasses and jump randomly up and down and side to side just to get the same effect!

OK. Now that is funny.
