Bonnaroo Countdown!

Bonnaroo is under TWO WEEKS from today...And since it's possibly going to be something more unusual than the other shows, I think it deserves a countdown of its own...plus it's a way to prevent me from going absolutely bananas before the next concert...well, at least comparatively <grin>
Tickets have already been mailed, so extra-super-best of luck to the SCnetters for winning those Golden Tickets...a backstage pass to this Roo should definitely go to a Police fan since how often do they go on tour compared to the other headlining acts, really <grin>
I'm no poet of Dirty Martini's caliber so I will try to think of some other apsect for this countdown...please anyone chime in with ideas or else it's just gonna be an old-school, lo-tech days remaining kinda thing!!
Thirteen Days until Bonnaroo!!!

Blowing another evening lost in the endless links of youtube I thought it might be cool to link vid's from Bonnaroo artists for the countdown since I have been listening to as many different artists as possible not only to help with the invariably vexing decisions that will have to be made regardin which stage <grin> but also in case I have to miss one at least I have a sense...
Manu Chao:

Looks like Thursday night may have this drum-geek's attention:

I've got the perfect idea for something they can do to mix it up at the festival, in keeping with the nature of the show. It would be hilarious, and at the same time awesome.
Get Sting and Andy to learn "Moby Dick" by Led Zeppelin--it'll take them about five minutes--and let Stew cut loose with a 20 minute drum solo. Just one time in his career, he's gotta do it.

Heh. I think I'm tapped out for a while, GSC, but before I leave for CA, I will try to write one Bonnaroo poem for you kids.

Just got my tickets today. Went to the first three. After the 3rd one, I said the only way I would go back is if the Police were playing.
Well what do you know. The world sure works funny sometimes.

Hmmm. Yeah. I'm not looking forward to the crowds and heat, honestly...but I've seen some terrific performances at 'Roo. Here's hoping the VIP section is what it's cracked up to be.
Welcome, Duke. Are you the Thin White variety? Or the Hunter S. Thompson?

Welcome Duke!
Shall we start an official theme song for you?
How about this?
"Duke Duke Duke Duke of Stewart, Duke Duke Duke of Stewart.."
Oh nevermind.

What's up.
I'd go with the HST option.

As your attorney I advise you to rent a large car with no top <grin>
DM: If you would like to toss a verse in here, it would be fantastic, but don't feel obligated...only if you so feel inspired! <grin>
For today, Bonnaroo artist clips are as follows...

Still a little large. And I think you're stuttering.
It's all good...just takes a minute to get the bugs worked out sometimes. (And that's even when we don't have 100+ people online...)
