Thanks Jackie!

I might consider bidding on one of the meet 'n greets, but they're all either July 17 or 19, and I'll be in South America that week...

Hi,
Off-topic: will you be diving when you'll be there? And where? Depending on where you'll be, south american freshwaters can also be very interesting, and full of very nice fishes.

I'm going diving in the Galapagos Islands (cold water, but great animal life) and then sailing down the Amazon. Probably gonna make a stop at Macchu Picchu, and I'm going to try to hit Lima for an afternoon to drink a beer with Jose!

OFF-TOPIC AGAIN!

Wow, what a program! Say "Ola" to Jose.
When sailing the Amazon, be careful of the freshwater stingrays (Potamotrygon), they cause more pain than the piranhas! Piranha's reputation is quite exagerated, but don't take a bath in a small pond where the water is overheated. It's precisely in this case, when they're trapped and have already eaten all they could (including their smallest mates) they can be dangerous. Not enough to eat completely a Human being, but enough to provoque serious bites.
