Secured my tickets today!

Postby mike_lawyer on 17 May 2007 02:09

Hi everyone, long time lurker. I am 29 years old and have been a huge Police fan since I was 13 years old. The Police got me into playing the guitar and rock music as a teenager. That was back when liking the Police was so uncool.

I am getting married in a few weeks, and I thought that between the wedding and my honeymoon, I would not get to see my favorite band play together this summer. To my surprise, my fiancee told me that she got center section front stage level seats to the Police concert in Hershey, PA on July 20th as a birthday present (my birthday is July 22nd!). I am so excited I can barely contain myself!

Stewart, if you are out there, I just want to say thank you. I could not have asked for anything more, it means so much to see the Police back together!

I became engaged last August before the Police announced their reunion. The wedding is coming up on June 23rd, and I was really in a bind because I did not think that I had the money for the wedding AND to see the Police. I kept thinking to myself, this is just my luck, my favorite band chooses the year I am getting married to reform! But my fiancee surprised me with tickets to Hershey because I did not think we would have the money to both get married and see the Police. This year is turning out to be great!

Try having your wife be pregnant with your 2nd kid during probably the best summer concert tours (in our eyes) that we've seen in years, and she can't go to any of them!!

She's bummed she can't see The Police. Definitely not the huge fan like I am, but she likes them enough to know how once in a lifetime this sorta thing is, and she wanted to share it with me so bad. :( She did score me 8th row floor seats tho when tickets went on sale and I was tied up in meetings! :D :D :D

To get to the show, do you have to take the Hershey Highway?

Hershey Highway was a tongue in cheek joke. It's an old homo reference for rear entry.

I thought it was funny anyway! Don't take it seriously.. good one Grant.
