Stew's awesome Oyster background vocals

I just noticed Stewart really hollering in the background on "Polka Dot Rose." He really starts letting it rip about 2:30 into the song. Why, when I have heard this song 100 times, am I now just noticing this?
Here's hoping for more of the same, and soon.
(Hell. I'm happy about the Police, but I had been really looking forward to an Oysterhead record this year.......)

I second the desire to hear SC hollering. Or singing. Or holler-singing. Whichever he can muster.
I just had the vision of Anastasio and Claypool coming onstage during a Police performance.
That would be the craziest mash-up. I think Sting would wet himself.

When it was finally sure that there would be a reunion, I thought (just for a second), "Fuck, that means no Oysterhead album!" I quickly shook myself out of that, of coarse I want to see the Police more then have a new Oysterhead album.... but I was so looking forward to one + a tour!

Mmmmyeah. I really like Claypool. Course, Andy Summers will be well worth seeing as well...

FYI for anyone in the NYC area: Claypool will be playing June 2nd at the Nokia Times Square.

Are you sure it's Stewart? I always thought it was Trey.

I think it is Stewart a'hollerin. He's got a pretty distinctive voice.
Like in Roxanne. I couldn't pick Andy out if I tried. Stewart's just all out there.

*sigh* I wanted to see him in Philly this time around on June 3 but I have an arts festival to work that day, darn it. I'll probably be too exhausted. But he puts on a great show so if you can catch the tour I'm sure it's great!

Damn, sockii -- you just can't seem to win this year! Think you might get a second wind that night? Perhaps with a caffeine crutch? I mean, it IS Claypool.

Oh yeah, that's ANOTHER one I'm missing. Fah.
Considering I'll be up from about 5am that morning to set up a tent and be outdoors working until 5-6pm, we'll have to see. Les usually doesn't even hit the stage until about 11pm, so it would be pushing it.
