Rumour of a DC area concert in July.

One of my co-workers just informed me that the Sports Junkies, a local morning radio show that took Howard Stern's slot on the DC station, just announced they heard the Police are supposed to play the Comcast Center at the University of Maryland in College Park Maryland sometime in July. I wasn't listening so that's all I can report on it for now and my co-worker didn't hear them mention a specific date. I think the Sports Junkies all graduated from the University of Maryland and probably have hooks on the inside that would know these things. So, it's nothing more than rumour at this point.

What happened to them playing Pimlico?

As far as I know they're still booked for V-Fest at Pimlico. Tickets just haven't gone on sale yet.

July's pretty booked up for them, though. They need to SOME rest between gigs. And, why would they play at UM and not the Verizon Ctr?

TPT.com had some little whispers about possible November show (s).

No matter to me. I'm there either way!!!!!

From what my brother tells me the rumor is The Ravens refused to give up a scrimage date and therefore The Police said See Ya! to the Baltimore Area. IIRC- DC was listed originally but disappeared. At this point I'd be suspicious of anything till it gets announced on TPT.

They were looking into playing M&T Stadium on Aug 4.
That's the day of the Raven's scrimmage. And they weren't backing down. HOWEVER, one Andy Summers is buds with Richard Branson, head honcho of Virgin Everything. So, apparently Rich says to Andy, "How 'bout you boys playin' the Virgin Festival?" or something along those lines. The Police powers that be confer and lo and behold, The Boys are playing in Baltimore on August 4th anyway! HAAAA!

So f*#kin% scrimmage THAT Ravens!!
