Forgive me for this non-SC thread. But, I think we'd be remiss not to acknowledge these outrageous events.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the Virginia Tech shooting victims.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

So that's what that funeral was for on tv! I was flipping through channels, and it was all the same...

I should start watching real news again, and not just John Stewart. But it's so depressing...

After Columbine I tried to be really nice to the loner kids, because I figured if they went on a shooting spree... they might remember and decide not to shoot me.
“...and er, did anyone try just pushing this little red button?”

It's really just so tragic. Turns out the daughter of my grandmother's housekeeper was good friends with one of the girls who was killed...naturally everyone is in complete shock right now about it.

My thoughts go out to all the victims and their families.

Several of the victims and the shooter were from Fairfax County in Northern Virginia, so this story is going to be at the forefront around here for some time to come. The shooter went to the same school as a guy who went on a shooting rampage here last year and killed two Fairfax county detectives, the anniversary of which is only a few weeks away. On top of 9/11, the various anthrax scares, and the sniper shootings in 2002 that terrorized this area, there are definitely some strange occurences going on in this region.

Yeesh. Yeah, I moved there in '92, and well remember the shotgun shooter in Columbia Heights. Scary.

I used to work with a few people who went to VA Tech. Wish I knew how to get hold of 'em to let 'em know I'm thinking about them.

If you think about it, April is a really crappy month. Didn't the Oklahoma city bombing occur in April? Martin Luther King was assassinated on April 4, right? Arrgghh! :(

Columbine happned on 4/20 (ironically Hitler's birthday)... the only reason I know that is the news made a big deal about the date and tried to tie into the reason for Columbine.
