We undying fans out there, who wait and wait for him to release some, if not all, of his earlier film score music are getting very frustrated. What about his great scores for THE FIRST POWER, WIDE SARGASSO SEA, OUT OF BOUNDS, TYSON, AFTERBURN, GRIDLOCK'D, GOOD BURGER, VERY BAD THINGS, SHE'S HAVING A BABY, FRESH, THE PALLBEARER, MEN AT WORK, HIGHLANDER II, SURVIVING THE GAME, SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL, BOYS AND RAINING STONES AND HIDDEN AGENDA. Instead we get promo albums with a couple of tracks from each movie and more tracks from scores that are already out in full. He's just like Vangelis, "Piss on my fans let them get the scraps that I pitch to them and if that's not enough they can all drop dead and go to hell. I AM AN ARTIST AND WILL NOT BE MASS MARKETED LIKE A PAIR OF SHOES!!!!!! I know I have a lot of fans, but, you know what? I DON'T CARE!!!! LET'EM ALL STARVE!!!
But that's just my opinion if anyone has any info on where I can get more of his awesome scores you can email me at ebertfan92@yahoo.com

P.S. I'm already on eBay.

Friend, you're new here so we'll be kind, but you should be aware that most of us here don't think Stewart doesn't care about his fans. Far from it, to say the least.

Most folks agree it'd be nice to hear his completed soundtracks, but like your mother always said, you catch more flies with honey, etc.

In addition to the unlikelihood that SC owns the copyrights to those albums, what she said. ^

It's a tough row to hoe. He probably can't even put them on itunes without going thru red tape. The scores that utilize orchestral performances might not ever get released due to the sheer overwhelming number of folks who would have to get paid for them.

I really wish it would happen too. I hope against hope that the Police reunion will generate greater interest in more of this material getting out. Really tough to see how they couldn't get some of this stuff on the internet at least. Unfortunately the return of the Police i think is more likely to push all this more on the back burner than ever before. I mean, i'm among the biggest trumpeters here of his solo efforts, but it's pretty easy for me to see where the big demand is.

But, if you hang around these parts for any length of time, you'll see Stewart is indeed uncommonly gracious and accomodating of his fans. He's got to be among the most affable celebrities alive!

Just wanted to point out also that he has chosen to share a selection of his works from the Spyro 2 soundtrack right here on this very site in the vault. Previously he's shared elements from Spyro 1 as well as a fantastic selection of bits and pieces from various projects, many of which have never seen release. All for free, all just for the fans. An enterprising individual with a fast connection and a way to capture streaming audio could have picked up three free Stewart Copeland albums over the past year or so if they've been paying attention. In fact, i'm still hoping to connect with someone who captured that first selection!

Yes, stick around Brother ebert. You'll find a most unique, funny, talented, knowledgeable and Stewart-loving crowd. Stewart does read the threads and posts occasionally. Don't know if you've heard, but he's got a big project coming up, so he doesn't have as much time lately.
But, believe us when we say the man does care about his fans.
Check out some of the other threads with posts of personal encounters with him.

Hi there from Giovanni. Welcome on board ebertfan92!

I can understand you when you think something like an artist do not care that much about fans, as unfortunately it is usually like that for too many reasons (some good, some absurd).
Stewartcopeland.net can definitely change your mind about rockstars 'absent' attitude to fans, as Stewart himself pops up every now and then not only to answer questions, but even asking for suggestions (such as the title of his dvd Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out), or for many other reasons (he sent me a mail just a few minutes before getting on stage at the Whiskey just to say hi to everybody at his forum - he had a little problem with his password and he sent the message through me).
I just gave you a couple of examples to say Stewart is not someone who doesn't care about fans; when I created this website I couldn't even imagine we could have him in person to collaborate and interact with fans.
Said that, he's also giving us the chance to listen to never released stuff (if you check the multimedia, the whole second season of Spyro was uploaded, and it's the only way to get it from original files).

Most of the time, soundtracks do not see the light of an official release as it's not on the producers plan, due to costs or other reason that makes the soundtrack unavailable, I guess it's never on the artist choice.
Let's hope the ones you are looking for will reach your ears, maybe members reading your post have some of those ones and available for swapping or copying.

Thanks for getting on board.
Where do you write from?

Giovanni
