Miles Copeland

Anyone hear any news if Miles Copeland will be involved in any way shaped or form with the Police Reunion. Does anyone know if he commented on it?

We don't really know. You can always ask him - he runs a forum at milescopeland.net. He's also on the Ask Uncle Ian Tribe page, although the URL escapes me at the moment.

and what about our Henry ? He says everyone is talking to him about the reunion. But I still do not know if he spoke with stewart ? By the way, get his book as it will soon come out in your countries.

Strangely, it barely mentions the Police and focuses on his belldancing/Arab music venture.

thanks for the great article! If anyone hasn't already checked out the BDSS, you really should give one of their shows a go - they are fabulous!

I had heard in another article that Miles has no intention of putting the BDSS on the backburner and, while he may have something to do with the Police reunion, it would not be his primary focus.

Too bad, but I give him credit for sticking with his current project. I think this speaks volumes about his character

I hope Miles will write a book about his life and job; he can teach us all so much about his job (and about The Police of course), as well as his great attitude to let people 'understand' music...

I saw the Bellydance show and it was amazing! I hope to see one the movies one day; I guess Stewart sons took part of the production and filming, or at least that's what they told me when I met them at the show.

Hey Giovanni
I rented American Bellydancer and would recommend it highly, if you are interested in seeing one of the documentaries. It is very informative and, of course, entertaining. Miles is always amusing.

And, I agree, he could definitely teach a thing or two. I would love to see him do some kind of seminar or something to that effect - he'd beat the pants off any motivational speaker out there - what a great public speaker I bet he'd be!

And don't forget the spin-off troupe that is going to be more tribal oriented called the Indigo. I hope what Barbara said about it the last time I saw her is true and they have a live band perform with the Bellydancers. that would rule!

Yes, Conroy - I did hear that they would be touring, but did not know about the live band. Thanks for sharing! That would be spectacular - Rachael Brice is just a stunning woman to watch dance and I am much more into the tribal than cabaret aspect of bellydance, so it should be a great time. Looking forward to it!!

I think the live band is still only a possibility and hasn't been confirmed, but it would be great. Especially if it is the same ones that play the music that you hear when you go on www.theindigo.net. When the BDSS were here back in November, Barbara thought the indigo would be on tour here in the Spring but I see it's been pushed back to the Fall. I can't wait either.
