FYI...in case you hadn't been over on TPT they put up Part 3 of the rehearsals. I think most on this forum will be pleased with the snippets of songs heard being rehearsed.

Definitely the Low Life bass line. And it sounded like they were letting Andy fly where the sax solo was in the recorded version. That's my dream version of the song actually.

/nod, Stewart's bell on that song is unmistakable...<grin>
SPOILER for those who cannot view the clip: Sting opens by talking about nostalgia (warm and funny)...Andy talks about how his hope for a reunion dwindled with time but then Eagles reformed and so on and so forth...Stewart talks about how he didnt believe Sting at first upon the phonecall (yeahhh right!) and it wasn't until Sting faxed Stewart the setlists that Stewart started jumping around the studio, really believing it was gonna happen...
Clips from songs played...bit of the jam from LowLife...Message in a Bottle...and I think the bassline from Driven to Tears at end (not sure)

Thanks for the inside scoop, Gina! Especially for the image of SC jumping around the studio.

!!!!!!!!! This is gonna be A*W*E*S*O*M*E....
So awesome, in fact, that I might resurrect the quote from the Blues Brothers I posted earlier this year, about a band powerful enough to "turn goat piss into gasoline."
See? I told you the $100 was going to be worth it.
(OK, who here have given their eyeteeth to be the fly on the wall of Stewart's studio as he jumped around his studio and started hollering? ["Hollering." I swear, the man's Southern heritage comes through loud & clear sometimes.

Yup LOWLIFE !
I freakin Love this!
...the best part is this will all become some sort of documentary one day.
It's like the gift thet keeps on Rockin, I mean giving.
The clips can only be watched on the site as a member...Sorry, I don't think they are anywhere else...and I believe they are protected.
Seeing the three of them being interviewed together? Man! "I never thought I'd see the day...playin with my life this way"
Cheers and Whippity Yahoo Mania !!!!!!!!!!!!

This part 3 is a total tease. Low Life sounds interesting for sure. Hopefully part 4 will start with the rest of Murder By Numbers, as part three ended with the drum intro fading out...

On the good side, the fact that they were playing Low Life tends to confirm that they're basically running through everything to determine the set list. On the down side, since they can't play everything, I hope they don't pick that one. They have a lot of better stuff to choose from IMO.

That wasn't Murder By Numbers, it was Driven To Tears...

You're right it wasn't Murder By Numbers. I had another listen and you can hear the bass line as it fades. Definately was Driven To Tears. I had the volume down lower earlier and didn't hear the bass coming in.
I hope some of the obscure stuff like Low Life make it to the final set list. But I'd also like to see an alternating set list. Kind of like how Pearl Jam just chalk one up before every show "....we'll do this, this and this tonight ...etc.."
How can you wait 23 years and only present 20 or so songs for the entire tour? It has to be an alternating set, with all the standard hits as permanent fixtures, but have certain songs alternate on any given night. Just a thought...

Yep. I don't know that I'll be pissed, but I'll be mildly irritated if I hear the same setlist four times in a row - and if it consists of only "hits" like ELTSDIM, EBYT and even DDDDDD.
I'd ten times rather hear "Darkness," "Bombs Away" or "Omegaman" than "King of Pain" or "Every Breath you Take." And, OK, I'll be way disappointed if there's no "Everyone Stares." And I will hold out hope as long as I have to, for a Stewart vocal on that...
