Sting calls the Police

Sting calls the Police
Sting had to call the real Police today, as his famous fender Precision Jazzbass has been stolen.
According to a hungarian journalist, who was there "by chance", the bass was on airport transit, and was stolen in the luggage arrival in Milan Malpensa airport.
Billy Francis, Sting "right arm", said later to the reporter that a ransom had been asked !
Sting may be very annoyed with this "rapt" as this bass has been following him for years, and as he rehearsed with the Police with this fetish instrument.
Let's hope he will get it back very soon.

What the f*** ??? I knew it was going to happen one day... It's sad to say but he's not the first one in that case.

I hope he's gonna find it before the tour !!!

Oh dear, very sad indeed.... Italy is not new to this kind of things: a couple of years ago some workers of Rome and Milan Airports were arrested for robbery on the tourist baggage. It seems things can only et worse in my poor country. I'm sad... :(

Since this is not an official news item yet, some people over on the Police boards think it might be an April Fool's joke.

Let's hope that it is!

First Andy's, now Sting's.... lets see them try an steal one of Stewart's drum sets, that would be a quick get away.

Nah can't be April Fool's, it's not funny.

You all now I am from Milan, RIGHT???

Said that, I didn't get it!

But it sounds a little bizarre...I hope it's a 1st April joke!

(and if you pass through Malpensa, remeber about this...)

yeah, but in Italy (and I'm really sad in writing this 'cause I am Italian as Giovanni, I live in Florence) these terrible things happened in the past and lasted months and months. It was not a single action "una tantum", but an organized robbery of a gang formed by airport personnel. The Police (the real one) shot some videos of how they made these systematic theft. They did it with calm and even light mood.

If this story is true, well for me is a very good joke.

Poor Ronald Mc Donald, he only wants too feel how can a PoliceĀ“s member could feel on stage.

Finally Sting's bass is with him again...

Nothing bad happens at the end!

I am with Gio that this experience sounds bizarre and incredible, like a good and surreal new joke...
