fan club only @ commodore, vancouver?

i'm flying up for the opening night and i need to book plane tix very soon. i heard a rumor about a members-only show at the commodore in vancouver... what are people's thoughts on this?

There'd been a previous rumor while they were here rehearsing for the grammies, but alas, it didn't pan out (despite a crazed drive to downtown by me!)

IF they do that, I only hope its after the 28th, as I'm out of town (in Wildwood NJ of all places) at a kite fest and I head home the morning of the 28th.

First, for when you get here, kitemonkey, Welcome to New Jersey.

Second, (and please forgive the CAPS, ucla -- they're not for you but for the rumor mill at large) I have NO INFORMATION and am NOT trying to spread ANY rumors about ANYTHING. But it wouldn't surprise me if the guys played a couple of surreptitious gigs before tour launch.

AGAIN, I have NO INFORMATION nor am I suggesting that this will happen IN ANY WAY -- I'm just saying that it's not unusual for bands to play a couple of gigs under assumed names before a tour. If I were in Vancouver during those last few weeks, I'd keep my eye out for such a thing.

The FC will be mum on events (IF THERE ARE ANY) til they announce, but if you think the rumor is credible, you might want to try talking to some folks at the Commodore. See what their show schedule looks like, and see what important names you can dig up. If you can charm the right person who has the right knowledge, you might be able to get some unofficial info.

DID I MENTION THAT I HAVE NO INFORMATION WHATSOEVER? BECAUSE I HAVE NO INFORMATION WHATSOEVER.

Thanks, never been but, hey, its a beach, with wind and a lot of kites, I've never lost yet with that.

I'll definitely be keeping a very close eye on what goes on the city right around that show, and if I DO hear of ANYTHING, I'll post here.
