Insanely awesome radio promo for THE POLICE Chicago gig

All righty folks...just now was driving down Belmont Ave. in Chicago and heard the best commercial imaginable...strains of "Every Little Thing," followed by tons of the other hits, and an announcer saying "The Police, July 5, Wrigley Field...Sting! Stewart Copeland! Andy Summers!"

Goosebumps, I tell you. And they said all three names, to make sure people know it's all original members.

Wish I could have recorded it. It was on WXRT, 93.1.

Oop! Just went to wxrt.com to see if they're streaming and there's a big Police banner. This is going to be an awesome show. If I weren't already attending five others, I'd be here. ;)

Heard it the other day. Got tickets on Wednesday. Lower deck, not terrific, but certainly not bad. Part of me still can't believe it. I'll be really freaking the night before. The fireworks will pale in comparison, I'm sure.

Oh my. That would just do me in.

I'm a Sirius addict. I haven't listened to old fashioned radio in 2 years. Local commercials sound weird to me now!

See my rant in the "complain" thread for my take on that exact situation, Kim...

I'm lucky enough to have a great college station near me, so I know what you mean. When I travel out of town, though, sometimes I'll tune in to see what the locals are playing (L.A. in particular is a great place to do that. Best radio in the country, I'm convinced.)
