What have you learned...?

What have you learned...?

Postby samburusunset on 23 Mar 2007 01:00

Has anyone gleaned any gems of knowledge by hopping on SC.net?
I learned that Jose didn't really chat with Stewart over on Jackie's Police chat site. Stewart was really nice to post on Jose's thread and let him down gently.

Also learned Stewart checks in on his site

(I think I'd pass out if Stewart ever posted on one of my threads  )

Let's see . . .

I've learned that I love your swag style, Samburu.

I've learned that obsessively checking into this forum does NOT make a project deadline that's killing me go away.

and I've learned -- or deduced -- that if Stewart is still out storming the castle yet is posting here on this forum, then he probably has a laptop.

Oh! and that I would now really love to hear The Police's take on "Hit Me Baby One More Time."

I've learned that Stewart Copeland kicks ass.

Oh, and DirtyMartini have you heard Fountains of Wayne's cover of Hit Me? Good stuff.

No, but I'll have to look for it -- thanks! I get such a kick out of unlikely people performing that tune. Somewhere I have a clip of Billy Boyd singing it with an acoustic guitar -- and it's gorgeous.

You won't pass out. STEWART, in addition to kicking ass, is way cool and appreciates his fans greatly. Maybe as much as we appreciate him, believe it or not.

I've learned that there are a lot of cool people all over the world. Which I knew anyway, but it's always wonderful to be reminded in grand fashion - which you people perform every day of the week. ;)
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Well, maybe I wouldn't pass out. But, my heart would pound out of my chest and I'd probably run around doing Martin Short's little Ed Grimly skip/dance. I might pass out if I ever MET Stewart.

I've learned that Stewart's even cooler than I thoughtand he's a great story teller. I can't wait to see a new Dinner Tale. pop up.

I've learned he's got a mile-wide grin.

I've learned that all this anticipation and joy is making me feel young and giddy again.

I learned that Stewart broke Sting's ribs by kneeing him in the stomach... I was a little disapointed.

I'll echo you guys - the best thing I've learned is how many awesome SC fans there are in the world. There are so many great people on here who make me laugh and make me feel a part of this big fun secret gang. It used to be so lonely 10-15 years ago being a Police fan - I never got to talk to about it with anyone, which is a real shame when you're all full of excitement and love for a band - such a waste!

I love that I get to have all those silly/meaningful/excited/hysterical/mental conversations on here with you guys. At the risk of making myself sound a little tragic I have to say that this forum has had a huge impact on my life and it actually pulled me up out of a really bad patch when my real-life friends couldn't manage it, so I shall be eternally grateful for that.
*sniff*
LOVE YOU LOT!

And Stew too, natch!
