It's strange that the polite and relatively reserved Manu would say something like that. More likely than not, it's the hard truth.

Katché, polite? LOL!!!
I remember him claiming Andy Summers was nothing in The Police and he could have been replaced by any other guitarist...

Sour grapes, me thinks.

Even as huge as Sting got, The Police are still bigger.

The indivisable sum.

It's a thin line between love and hate...

My first reaction to that quote is WTF? I'm going to go with Animal on this one. It makes no sense otherwise. So several times over the last 20 years Manu and Sting are just casually chatting and Sting blurts out, "I hate Stewart and Andy!" ??? And what's with the "I saw him argue with Stewart once" bit? Sting and Stewart argued? Really? What a revelation!

Bottom line: Who cares if it's all about the money anyway? It's why we all do our jobs. Their jobs just happen to be much cooler and make them much more money than ours.

I was just gonna move along on this one, but I have to give props for this:

I don't get it absolutely....he may have said something hurting maybe but that may be due to an artistic point of view...Sting may have disliked some stuff or music ideas....but every time we met and mentioned Andy and Stewart, Sting eyes were definitely saying he LOVES both of them...

Yeah, I mean no offense to MK...but who am I gonna believe, Stewart or some guy when it comes to the relationship between Police members?

We have an expression in the U.S. that means to shut up...it's "shut your pie hole!" Somehow I wish Mr. Katche had kept his closed! :)

I'm curious as to what Manu's motives are by saying these things. The thing is, people have their disagreements and falling outs. Then they hopefully overcome them, make up and become stronger, more well-rounded people as a result. That's what the upcoming Police tour means to me.

I think that if you listen to the Sting songs that were performed by Copeland and the ones that were performed by Katche you will find that Manu should have tried arguing with Sting every once in a while.

You know, reality is cruel.
I think MK says what he says very honestly.
You must know he also says he accepted to do the TV show (La Nouvelle Star) on M6 because he can earn a lot of €€€ and with the €€€ he can do an album, a tour and a very high quality music show on french/german channel Arte (1 shot not, to begin in April).
He needs the money. To be a musician, even at that level, is very difficult!
He says (sic) ‘Sting à reformé police, c’est génial’ = ‘Sting reformed Police, it’s great!’
So, what if Sting needs £££ and $$$ and €€€ etc… the great thing is that they will play together. That’s fantastic.
