No to what, Philip? The Police were around in 1983-1984 and played three shows in 1986.

Yeah.
What are the meaning of the NO and finally YES from Sting?

I hope Philip are joking in this

To me this assumption is very rude...
I forgave Sting many months ago, and since then, my platonic fan relationship with his image become cool and healthy to me.

Is it possible that some people on here take this whole thing a little TOO serious ...?

Sting doesn't need money. For Andy and Stewart maybe it's more of an incentive, but they weren't broke either from what I can tell.

Anyway, I don't like to think Sting goes back to play with his expals just for money...

I'm sure there are many reasons why the band reunite...surely money are involved but for what I know about the three of them, I don't see it the main reason...they were always offered $$$$$$$ for a reunion tour...they could have said yes before...then I guess there are many other reasons, but we could go on talking for hours...

It's hard - nigh impossible - to overlook the money issue. But there seem to be other things that get overlooked. For example, the passings of Ian Copeland and Kim Turner and the recognition that there is never a forever thing.

Losing a loved one does tend to make a person rethink his/her decisions and choices.
Being rich enough to buy your own island is probably cool, but there is something to be said for grabbing onto what (and whom) you've got while you've still got 'em.

Heh, I've already fired off a page-length post refuting the $ hypothesis this morning on a TPT thread and I'm a little under the weather this afternoon so I'll just chuckle this time

Maybe money is one reason, since human beings are soul and body.
But I am sure there are another important reason about The Police reunion.
I know one prime reason are to satisfy the loyalty of The Police´s fans.
My heart shake just to think about The Police will play 'Every Breath You Take.
Before I tought was a very mellow song, but now I feel this song in any other way.
It´s a look of my life's story.
My soul feels now very engage with this song.
Go On fellows!
