I discover a public poll in the main newspaper of PERU... About the returns of great bands into the rock scene and THE POLICE win!!!

The question is:

What's the return to rock thats gets you more emthusiastic?

THE POLICE 50.70% (396)
LED ZEPELLIN 23.56% (184)
HEROES DEL SILENCIO 12.16% (95)
GENESIS 7.04% (55)
THE WHO 6.53% (51)

Total of votes at moment: 781

That's why rumours peak to THE POLICE could play in PERU!!!

If you like to vote enter this link, of THE POLICE article, and vote into the right side panel called "SONDEO"and click THE POLICE to vote (You dont need spanish to do it, perhaps it helps more to bring The Police to Peru)

To be fair, if they could resurrect Bonham, I would absolutely vote for Led Zep. It being a miracle of science and all.

Good luck, Jose!
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

With Bonham or without him... I always vote for THE POLICE first ever!!!

By the way, I remember watching on TV a chapter of a US series that have Andy Summers as guest actor, who performed a photographer and guitarist that is a devoted fan of a Hippie legend guitarist who died but that was resurrected by science... in this programm Andy plays a great and long guitar riff!!! ( by the way, I remember record this chapter on VHS)

Ha! Choosing The Police over the ability to resurrect a dead guy? That's pretty damn hard core, Jose.

Do you remember what that show that featured Andy was? No need to go nuts looking for it -- I'm just curious. It sounds like an Outer Limits or Twilight Zone-type plot.

Yeah.. The Tv Programm was: "THE HITCHHIKER" (1987 season 4, Episode 7) The title of the episode was: "The Legendary Billy B." and Andy Summers performed the role of a photographer called "Hodie" and as I said before he plays an outstanding guitar riff!

By the way, THE POLICE reached 50% in the peruvian newspaper poll!!!

Yeah it was aired in the middle of the night... In that episode Andy was commisioned with a female journalist and he discover the legendary guitarist "Billy B", supossed to be died, but who was alive by tubes, so Andy explain the journalist who was "Billy B." take a lot of pics and then he plays an outstanding riff guitar...and "Billy B" awake... I remember Andy runs followed by someone...then he was killed... that's the end of our hero and the end of the episode...

The scary part is that the more you describe it, the more familiar it sounds. I bet I've probably seen it during some night of insomnia!

Zeppelin

Postby Gaius Julius Caesar on 20 Mar 2007 23:30

Did anybody see Zeppelin at Live Aid in 1985? They were horrible and they would be even worse now. They were a great band that could never ever come back.

By the way, I read Eddie Van Halen went into a hospital for a detoxify treatment, but in spite of the fact news suggested taht he wasn't ready for a world tour, so "Van Halen" reunion with David Lee Roth was cancell.
