Danny is still with Sting - you can see him working at The Whiskey
rehearsal/press conference.

For the uninitiated, Danny is Danny Quattrocchi, who wrote a great book filled with photos of the guys back in the 1980s. It's worth a read just for Sting's hilarious introduction, in which he talks about taping stuff to Danny while he sleeps. You can get it for 10 or 20 bucks US on Amazon or Ebay.

That is my absolute favourite Police book. His photos are really great and unposed because everyone knew him so well they acted naturally around him. Plus all the little captions the guys added are pretty funny too. Well worth picking up if you can.

It would probably help folks find it if I'd added the title, which is "Police Confidential." D'oh! ;) And I've managed to bungle his name, which according to Amazon is spelt "Quatrochi".

(You can't hotlink to Amazon from the outside, but interested parties should search for this info:

Hardcover: 125 pages
Publisher: Beech Tree Paperback Book (November 1986)
Language: English
ISBN-10: 0688065279
ISBN-13: 978-0688065270 )

That's awesome- I had no idea about that book!

I believe Jeff Seitz (Stewart's Tech) still works with him.

Ya iirc Jeff Seitz and Danny Quatrochi were both in the pre-Grammy clip on TPT...Dennis Smith too, for Andy...they were doing the famous techie jam in the clip :D

Sure...it was the first behind-the-scenes clip they posted under "multimedia" on TPT (after Rehearsals, of course)...found here http://www.thepolicetour.com/exclusives/

its the one at the bottom, "Grammy 2007" :)

For anyone wishing to get hold of a copy of Danny's book:

Lots of copies on Abebooks.com - really good site for cheap secondhand books.

And yes, Throb is an absolutely gorgeous book - Andy is a fabulous photographer.

I won "The Police Confidential" Photo Book by Danny Quatrochi ( At an Outlandos Fan Club Contest)

By the way, the question to win this book was: Who were the roadies of Sting, Stewart and Andy?

- Danny Quatrochi = Sting's Roadie
- Jeff Seitz = Stewart's Roadie
- Tam Fairgrieve = Andy's Roadie

I think I have Danny's book . I dug out alot of Police books the other day for a walk down memory lane. Is it light green? I'd look myself, but I'm at work. Either way, it's got some good pics. I have another with Andy's photos. That's a nice one, too.

Yeah is light green... by the way it have a big mistake... in some shot of Sting, sitting in the top of a Mayan Pyramid, it mentioned it was from INCA'S era... and that is totally inexact, because MAYAS or AZTECAS are who governed Central America... while INCA's was an Empire located in South America.

INCA's governed the actual territory of PERU, part of Bolivia, North and Central Chile, North side of Argentina, Ecuador, and south portion of actual Colombia... was a enourmous Empire in extension territory than Roman Empire.

Don't forget, INCA's Empire was located in SOUTH AMERICA, While Mayan or Aztecas were located in CENTRAL AMERICA.
