Just reported on TPT...
OK, maybe I'm just unhip and totally square, but I couldn't name a Maroon 5 song if you paid me. Can someone lend me a clue?

You don't need maroon 5 in your life Dive, believe me!

I'd bet you would recognize the song "She will be loved" if you heard it, Dive...I think I got one of their cd's in the cd club as a result of being a little slow returning the card and...I think...I recycled the cd in an environmentally friendly way at the local used record shop
And, furthermore, I'd have serious doubts that you'd even be 10 miles close to unhip

Hey - I actually quite like Maroon 5 and am a bit jealous of the Miami people! Although I am curious about Sting's son's band.

They did that "This Love" song, "I was so high I did not recognise the fire burning in her eyes".
Honestly, I would have been disapointed if it was a band I like, because I use that time to by my tour book and t-shirts.... that takes forever!

I looked on TPT.com but couldn't find anything about Maroon 5 opening. Was this on a "fan club only" page? I was wondering if they were opening any other shows.

I guess ten or so years ago i would have been very against a group like this, but now it's just something that's kind of there... I will admit to really enjoying that song you mentioned, Gina. My mom really likes the group, but she is fascinated with modern pop in general.

For what it's worth, I think their whole album is really good.

I don't mean this in a holier-than-thou kind of way, but I listen to almost no commercial radio, and can't place that song...
Guess I'm with Mrs G, though. I hope they book openers that don't interest me, so I can stand in line for a t-shirt. (No drinks, though, so I won't have to pee and miss part of The Police.
)
Hmmm. Yep. I'd really be screwed if they booked Neko Case and Mike Doughty to open. I'd never be able to go that long without a rest stop.

Isn't that what the intermission is for?

This love is ok, because it reminds me of classic Stevie Wonder. The rest of the CD is middlin', probably good potty break music.

That reminds me, does anyone know where you can go and purchase NASA-grade diapers? They should sell those at concerts. They'd make a killing.

But they'll be playing first, I usually have to pee half way through. So they better play Every Breath You Take right in the middle... so I won't miss much when I run to the bathroom.
