NOT A POLICE topic:

I start to understand why they split now. It’s obvious that they became not more than a BOYS BAND for the mass. How can you reach the top… and just been considerate as pretty icon ?

Some real true fans had collected all the relics linked to the music during 23 years. Now the fake image of the ‘beatles of the 80’s’ is back. And what about sting getting Elvis haircut ? Waw, that would be a nice picture. The true myth of rock and roll again.

I really hope they will come with SOME NEW material. It’s vitale. One can not be a band and just living on the past glory! This complete reunion story is a big big mistake if not even the Police is ABLE TO CREATE NEW MUSIC. Who will want to get a musician now ?

So, I wrote this was a none Police topic. I wanted to speak about a great musician I really appreciate. He is french and plays the classic trumpet like if it was an electric instrument. He newer will fill the Stade de France or what you have big to play the Super-Bowl.
Here are links to some videos, if you might listen to Erik Truffaz:

I think this is true with any artist or band that reaches the lofty heights of success. The difference to me is musical staying power. The Backstreet Boys (all image) had HUGE success, big tours-hit songs, but no staying power. The Police are more than an image- they have the goods to back it up.

This tour to to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the band- new music would be great, but I don't think it's necessary.
