Remember Sting said he named his first solo upon a dream he had.. about 4 giant blue turtles in his garden!!...that told him it was about time to do something new!...
I wonder what his dream was the morning he woke up and thought it would be fun to reunite The Police!

...where did the blue turtles go anyway!!!??
I would like to hear your theories on what the dream was all about!!

The blue turtles became his first post-Police band. Sadly, Kenny Kirkland died. Omar Hakim still plays - he did a tour with Madonna in the 90's. Daryl Jones records and tours with The Rolling Stones. Dolette Macdonald sang for Sting's All This Time concert on, sadly, 9/11. Branford Marsalis is still active, but very low key. I met Omar, Branford and Daryl at the Greek Theatre show Sting did in '85 here in Los Angeles. Great guys.

Sting said the turtles were actually destroying the beautiful garden with roses that represented all the great stability he had with the Police, and the turtles where simply turning it upside down!... showing him that one has to renew something to make it healthier!... then the 4 turtles represented the new 4 musicians he started touring with back then!

Sting probably had another dream that after the Blue Turtles totally ruined the garden and then left... 23 years had passed, and now "money trees" were suddenly popping up everywhere in his garden...

Well we have not been introduced properly I guess, but being in this forum I just assume we have at least one thing in common so... I wouldnt mind meeting you at all! :wink:
