Outstanding!

I like a lot of longhair music you'd probably hate, but I am looking forward to seeing the other bands that are playing Bonnaroo. Mostly the White Stripes, Wilco, and Charlie Louvin. Also Manu Chao.

Ricky Martin, ick.

What long hair music? Hippy stuff? I'm picturing... But nah it's probably more garage band isn't it?

I do follow some Spanish-language bands...I have a couple Jaguares CDs, and some Caifanes. Well, and a slew of Cuban music...

Do you know something about Genitallica?

Hee! No. 'Longhair music' is a term a lot of older folks used to use to refer to the music that all the kids were listening to. It did start out back in the hippie days, but now it's more a term to describe something that's artistic and usually somewhat obscure.

Geez. Stuff I like...you won't have heard of most of it, maybe I ought to mail you a mix CD one of these days. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Red Monroe, TV on the Radio, and Birds and Batteries. Went to an in-store concert this past weekend by Charlie Louvin (also playing Bonnaroo) who was a pioneer of Americana music - real country music, as opposed to the soulless crap you hear on the radio these days. Ever hear any Johnny Cash? It's that kind of thing.

I'm trying to think up stuff I like that you'd know. You like a lot of classic rock, right? I'm a big early Rolling Stones fan. And I know every note of every song the Beatles ever wrote, just about.

Hub and I are big Kinks fans, as well. Next to The Police, that's probably the group I'd most like to see re-form. Since Iggy and the Stooges already did, and I really need to get out to see them this summer sometime.

Well I really like Ricky Martin since the day I interview him.

He was 13 teen and I was 25.

Also love when he sing the song from football World Cup at France.

I like The Beatles too, but well, I can not see them never alive.

I love the song:

Don't let me down, that they played at some UK roof...

I don't know that one, GG...but check out the releases on this label, you might like 'em:

They're based in Belize City, which I visited a couple years ago. I have Paranda and Andy Palacio, plus a few others. Great stuff.

Like half my CD collection is Brazilian music, but I realize that's Puertugues. Jorge Ben, Seu Jorge, Gilberto Gil...plus a bunch of electronica, the disc titles of which I can look up if you're interested.

All right y'all, I'm sacking out! Sweet dreams...

Looking forward to seeing Roger Waters in April, performing Dark Side of the moon. It's gonna be great for sure, although his former band would've been another welcomed (long-term) reunion apart from The Police...

That's funny, D, since the term longhair music conjures up for me the hair bands of the '80s!

The Secret Chiefs are on tour and they're actually coming to MY home state!! March 18 in Asheville, NC. It's too bad literally no one i know personally have even heard of them, outside of my mentions. I may have to stag it, if i choose to go.

None at this point - not gonna have any money left after these Police shows to see anyone else this year!
