Hey All,
I'm new here. I was wondering...does Stewart ever reply to these posts? Thanks!

We are not quite sure yet. I think he has replied once to a post here...but he's been so busy. I think you might find him here sometime in the future.
In the meantime enjoy all the multimedia stuff and get "de-arranged".
...and welcome to Coplandia.
Cheers.

Hi Tigress:
I really don´t know.
I tought that Stewart Bongoboy said is a fake.
Maybe S. Copeland is like his father...
Remember his dad was a CIA spy.
Maybe he is chating with us, but we don´t who really is he.
Anyway we have another spy that names sufix and I image him like
Stifler from American Pie film.
Who knows?

Hi again,
Thanks for letting me know!
Unfortunately, I can't listen to any music on this site because I only have internet access at the library. I can't afford my own internet access at home. So, there's not much I could say about any of Stewart's new music since I haven't heard any of it.
I just had some questions for Stewart and wondered if I'd ever get any answers to them.

I'll bet one day soon we will here from Mr Copeland. Once all the touring has settled down...then Giovanni will keep bugging him until he gives in and and says "OK already"!!!
...then he will show up (heh, heh).
It doesn't hurt to ask your question anyway, a lot of us have just for fun.
Cheers.

That's true. Well, I'll have a few questions but here's the first I've been thinking about lately:
Stewart, have you ever played steel drums? In the "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" video, when Stewart, Andy and Sting were up on the back of the truck, there's a guy playing steel drums with them, and I was wondering if Stewart actually played them on the track but in that little video concert they just had another musician help them out with it. I really like steel drum music. :D
see...

Tigress, see the new member's name until now:
The newest registered user is ProbablyMe
Mmmmm, he is probablyyy...
Who knows?
Anyway I want to express my personal point of view on this.
If Stewart Copeland is looking, once in a while, at some of this topics on his forum, and he wants to make a virtual appearence, I prefer that he never say that he is the real Stewart.
The reason is if he chat with some of us here, and he don't reveal his real identity, I can talk with him as a pal with confidence.
I know myself, and if I know the real Stewart is talking with me, for sure I will feel very shy, and I will treat him like
WOW!
Are you really the man who is making the music that I love since many years ago?
No no no no no no no no, don´t do it please. Never.
it will be so much for me.
I prefer that you interact with me as another Stewart Copeland's fan, as I am, treating you as a pal.
Ok, for sure almost all of you, are not in the same channel feeling as I do, but well I am only expressing my feelings about this matter.
Hope you can understand me...

I understand what you mean, GeorgyGirl. But, I'd like to know if it was him if he wanted to answer my questions, especially since then I'd know for sure that his answers were true. If I thought someone else was answering the questions I posed, it would be pointless. My whole goal is to converse with Stewart - not someone else. Maybe he could pretend to be a fan whenever he talks to you, and he could be himself when he talks with the rest of us.
Either way, I know he's probably incredibly busy, so I don't really expect to hear back from him for a while, if ever. But, I know how you feel, GeorgyGirl. I'd be a quivering idiot if I actually met him in person! :D

Good question about the steel drums! In the video's from Monseratt you're right he is on that wagon beside the steel drums...even if he seems to be playing his Octo's. You can definitely hear them though...and thay sound great, Magic is a great song.
I understand the point of view of Mr Copeland not saying who he is so you can just relax and talk. The problem is that you want actual answers from the man himself...you need to know it's true, so if you are not convinced it's him then it could be some sneaky dude lying....not that anyone from here would lie...y'know what I mean.
I think it would be great if he came here just for a special time period just for a short time and answered a few posts, that's all. Just to keep us all on the edge of our seats.
Cheers.

Tigress' reply:
I don't necessarily think anyone would lie, but they might not be entirely correct about the answer they'd be giving in Stewart's name. But, then again, someone might lie just for fun, and that would be a real let-down if you thought you were getting straight answers from the man himself.
What kinds of drums do you play, BongoBoy?
The same question...

Yes Bongoboy, what type of drums do you play?
Mmmmm, maybe Bongoboy is the man himself, just faking a fan.
Who knows?

I wish I was Stewart too !!! Then I wouldn't get so frustrated trying to learn these great Copeland drum beats.
I play a drum kit a lot like Mr Copelands...I also play in a three piece band that plays rock and reggae, sound familiar? I am getting back to my true love of drumming, I had taken a few years off because of not being in a band and working my day job (ugh!)...you know how life gets in the way.
I have had my songs on Canadian radio (a few times) and I made a video that was shown once on Much Music (Canadian MTV) and my band had played live on a Canadian TV show....oh..and we once opened up for K.D. Lang (you know her? she sang "Crying" with Roy Obison), that's pretty well the story of my musical life.
I also play other instruments and write and record my own songs. So far in my career I have done one LP album way back in 1987 with my band at the time, and then my own self titled CD in 1997...so my next project has to be finished by 2007.
I really hope I get to meet Mr Copeland one day but I would like to meet him as a good musician not just an adoring fan, y'know what I mean? I would like to feel that I am taking what he has started and take it somewhere else...just like he did.
Thanks for asking.
Hey Stewart! feel free to just into this thread and comment!!!!
(I had to try Eh?)
Cheers everyone.
Now I'm back and that's why I love coming here and talking about my inspiration, the reason I ever started in music, Stewart Copeland.
