Did I mention that I got Police Tickets today?

Did I mention that I got Police Tickets today?

Howdy folks- If you thought I was a big sourpuss, let me just say the following:

I bought police tickets today.

Let's put that in perspective: An ounce of gold in Dec 1980 was worth $850 and today it is worth $671. In 1980 I paid $9 for my ticket to a Police show and today I paid $276 if you count the fan club price.

I bought Police tickets today.

Blah blah blah t-shirts blah blah blah samples blah blah...

I bought tickets today to see the band The Police, play together and live.

Nine bucks? How could they afford that?

Congrats on getting your tix, Grant. Like I said in the other thread, I think all the sturm und drang around these ticket sales will turn out to be worth it. At least you can buy tickets for 50 bucks and still get in the door, which is more than I can say for a few bands playing arena shows these days...

I really need to add to my sig line, that hilarious phrase someone else posted in a thread: "They are The Police, they will $%^& your mind off!"

They weren't always insanely famous, Mrs. G. But you knew that. Who is that in your avatar, btw? You've had some cute ones lately...I miss the Tom Cruise/Oprah gif. ;)

That would be John Mayer, I believe in Mrs G's avatar. I'm not a fan of Mayer and out of the "guitar gods" that RS recently announced, I like Frusciante.

Thanks blue. Honestly? I'm just kind of out of it where most popular artists are concerned. Lately I've been listening to Red Monroe and Birds and Batteries, if that tells you anything...;)

I thought I saved the Tom Cruise one, but didn't. And now I can't remember where I got it. This one's John Mayer.
