Now with THE POLICE reform... you thinks they need to record an unplugged "MTV" session? I mean an album and DVD...

Imagine Stewart in his drum and percussion set ( that caribean percussion on "Every little thing")... Andy's electrocaustical, acoustic, sitar, or banjo strings.... and of course Sting with a Double bass or Brian again and perhaps at piano, pam flute and horns... will be hot hearing POLICE hits like "Wrapped around your finger" or "Every little thing" in acoustic or electroacustic unplugged versions...

Yeah I MEAN AT THE END OF THEIR "WORLD TOUR" (2008) LIKE A GRAND FINALE!!!

I am dreaming again, but I think my dreams turn real in POLICE case 8)

An unplugged show would be absolutely gorgeous. I can only imagine an acoustic version of Secret Journey or Darkness. Oooh.

I think if they did an unplugged show, it would make them look like they were going after Sting's adult contemporary market...which is the VERY last thing I would want to see happen.

While I think it would be great to hear them do something like that because they are excellent musicians, I think it would be a really bad move.

The Police need to ROCK!

Well im not sure. It might be very interesting to hear the police songs with accoustic instruments. I know when my friends and I play them with accoustics it sounds cool :)

No, not my taste, not their style.

Nope. Everything I love about the Police would be missing. Terrible idea.

I would rather see them do something along the lines of VH1 Storytellers where they perform the songs plugged in and talk about the stories behind them.

I'm with Conroy - Storytellers would be better than Unplugged. Sting's been mucking up Police songs for too many years already - I don't want to hear them mellowed down some more, I want to hear them fully PLUGGED IN and ROCKING!

Unplugged

Postby giovanni on 26 Feb 2007 12:45

I always thought about The Police unplugged (Nirvana did it with such an amazing result), but I see it as a Sting thing more than a Police ... it would be interesting...and I would have already a prestigious venus here in Milan that would pefectly fit the situation.
