Really?! Squeeeee!
Do you have any info, LiSting...or are you just on the "beg committee" like me...?
Here's hoping he puts more stuff in Dinner Tales soon. I guess, at the rate he's going, that might make a pretty good book!

A good idea will be that we, Copeland's deep and heart fans should write in colaboration a a book from him:
KK's Magical Mistery... (including Echidna world writes, and Stewart's tales, and the best writes from many fans)
Well, was just an idea.

Stewart told me that if he would start writing a book, he would do that talking about what happened after the Police break up (the first break up we can now say) .... now he should add the 'appendix'...The Police in 2007/2008!!!

It's funny because yesterday I just wondered if he had a book out and now I discovered this thread. I would really appreciate a publication by Stewart. Having read Stings and Andys autobiographies Stewarts words of wisdom are still missing.
As the two other guys mainly dealt with the past I would love to read Stewarts thoughts and opinions on the whole reunion thing. Maybe he could combine it with a weblog - excerpts in advance for us nuts here and later a detailed version in book form? Just having visions... sorry!

Well, I guess we already got a pretty good account of the Copeland kids' childhood from Ian's book (although I'd still like to read what Stewart has to say about it)...but we'd hear more about the Rhythmatist filming. And della Taranta and Gizmo.
Although, a simple post-breakup book would leave out the Klark Kent record...and Curved Air.
(I was doing some Googling the other day and you know what? I really like that Curved Air stuff. They broke up when I was in short pants, but I've always been a fan of that Eno/Roxy Music/glam rock sound. I've got a couple of the records on order.)

I'm still lost on the whole Klark Kent thing. It seems like such a blip.
I'd be overly interested to hear his story.

What was this all about? I saw it posted at AUI:
In a worldwide exclusive Echidna presents extracts from his new book "The Copeland Chronicles- A Personal Diary" Stewart very generously gave me access to his 30 volumes of diaries and from this I have been able to condense it into a 800 page book. While reading this book you will experience a whole range of emotions ranging from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs and a lot more in between! Over the next few weeks we will be publishing extracts of the book on the
www.stewartcopeland.co.uk site before the book goes on sale on September 11th! Starting next Monday you will be able to read extracts from this book exclusivley at;-
www.stewartcopeland.co.uk Please find below a little teaser of what you will find in the book and be able to read on the website over the next few weeks.
"Diary Entry - May 1st 1983. Dear Diary well today is the day that we once again leave the house and climb into the juggernaut parked in the drive known as the the Police album. I have a very busy week ahead with a crazy hectic schedule where I must pay lip service to the worlds Press and pretend to look like I actually still like Sting. I'm still emotionally drained after last weeks crisis meeting with the band and record company executives where I tried to persuade them that "Mother" would be a far better choice of a single instead of Every Breath You Take. Those who know me will testify as to what a fair person I am and I showed that by telling Sting that EBYT would make the perfect B side. Alas it was not to be and my efforts were in vain - EBYT will be the first single, however I am confident I can get "Miss Gradenko released as the second single. Its going to very tough spending this week talking about EBYT when my heart is really in "Mother" and I know that although he doesn't show it Andy is secretly very upset. I remember back in 1978 when I spent a whole month pleading with Miles not to present "Roxanne" to A&M but instead play them "Be My Girl Sally" which I felt, and still do is the perfect four minute pop song. I mean can you seriously imagine that in twenty years time anyone will still be listening to or even wanting to listen to "Roxanne"???"
Someone with a very strange sense of humour?

I like some of it a lot too, but then, I've always been a prog fan as well.
If you're getting any Curved Air stuff, I highly recommend the Live at the BBC ("On Air") disc, which is my favorite. Nice overview of the band through various line-ups and some of the tracks sound *so* much better live than in the studio. (I also really like Sonja's last disc with Mask, "Heavy Petal", which is great atmospheric stuff, if a bit new-agey...)

The thought of Stewart writing, "Dear Diary", hilarious.
I do like Mother more then EBYT, but M wouldn't have worked as a single.

I like Echidna writes about Copeland's family, and from Stewart alone.
I think if is a book from Stewart, should be with hilarious writes.
KK's style.
Yes, I like it...

Gio, umm nice dreadlocks.
I still want an autobiography by Stewart. He's a really good story teller, with the added comedy... the book I'm sure would be even better.
I don't really want to hear about The Police era, just before and after, mostly before.
We might, just might, have a chance for one after the tour.
Possible Book

I'm a newbie to the site,...but a fan for a long time...and I have to say- I have read a lot of autobiographies...Cash by Johnny Cash, Sting's Book, Hillary's book, Anne Heche's book...but Stewart is such a colorful and comedic writer- I think it would sell -just for the sheer fact that his life is entertaining and it would be like watching the travel channel only w/ a warped sense of humor and a more vivid description- so, I hope Stewart sees these 'pleas' and that a book deal is definitely in the works.
My 2nd plea: I really think there should be a LIVE Police Reunion CD cut after the tour. The Bee Gee's did it w/ their concert in Vegas and it was so good! I think everyone is genuinely interested in the slightly new arrangements of the music, the energy from the crowd in the different venues, the different setlists...I am also a huge Dave Matthews fan-and nothing beats the LIVE stuff....its all new- all different- all the time.
That's all I have to say about that...
