I've been trying since the stroke of 9 this morning for tickets to either the Aug. 1st or 3rd shows at Madison Square Garden and can't get any. I have two screens and 3 browser sessions and still no go.
What's a guy gotta do to see The Police?

They went lighting fast. I sat constantly refreshing the tickets page from 8:50 onwards in order to get through as fast as possible. Results posted below in the tickets section.

I got some right near the stage for 94 but they were technically behind the stage, so I skipped out.

Got shut out of both shows this morning. I was trying to see if I could better a Section 232 for 8-3.

I am guessing more shows will be added.

What's with the gold and silver hot seats? If the auction wasn't bad enough!

Good thing I love this band. Cause if some new band tried to do this I don't think anyone would stand for it. Sorry I am so negative, but I just really think this is excess. Do they need to have $400 gold seats?

It used to be first come, first serve period. Now fans are really at a disadvantage.

aalloca, none of that is new to this Police tour, though, to be fair (or unfair across the board, as the case may be).

I've been seeing ticketbastard do these Gold/Silver Packages and Ticket Auctions for several years now. It's become basically a default factor of the game for any big name tour out there.

I should, though, tell vespapod to post some of the info he got from a ticket broker he talked to last night, about all the seats supposedly being given out as corporate gifts to different companies - a hundred tickets here, a hundred tickets there...that's what I think is screwing over the "garden-variety" fan more than anything, and seems to be either Best Buy or Live Nation's doing. I know I've seen that locally at any Philly show in our arenas and stadiums...it seems like half the good seats are taken up by Comcast employees or people who got their tickets as corporate "gifts"...
